Description:    I often see these little mandolins, but they are usually missing lots of the tortoise and ivory veneer.  I would say these are in very good condition.  You will notice I had one peg on each mandolin replaced.  The ivory my carver was able to obtain is much lighter than the original, but I feel it still looks better than having a missing peg.  (Don't worry - my carver assures me no animals were harmed to obtain the bits of ivory)  It's also worth noting that both of these mandolins still have their original frets.  These are often missing.  If you enlarge the photos below you'll be able to see the places where there are tiny bits of veneer missing.  These are wonderful accessories for a French Fashion, but would also be cute in a doll house or with a little Teddy.

Measurements:    They are both about 5" long.
