Description:    This is a lovely old doll's parasol.  The handle is hand carved and I believe it's made of bakelite.  If it's a natural material it's highly lacquered.  I think that the fabric may even be silk.  If not then it's a soft rayon.  It's definitely old and fragile with the texture of silk.  There are a few holes about the size of a pin head and the fabric is starting to pull apart a bit around the button.  The thread holding the button on is pulling the fabric and that's why I thought it would be too much stress if I opened it all the way. I taped the handle to hold it open.  The parasol still retains it's silk tassels and the original button and strap.  This will display beautifully with your French Fashion.
